NABU prevented the seizure of UAH 73 million by “Ukrburshtyn”

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office successfully prevented an attempt to illegally seize 73 million hryvnias from the subsidiary “Ukrburshtyn”.

About this informs NABU

As it became known, in September 2020, the then management of SE “Ukrburshtyn” entered into an agreement on the responsible storage of scientific and technical documentation with a private company. Subsequently, the director of “Ukrburshtyn” staged the theft of these documents, creating an artificial debt to the private company.

The accomplices of the crime planned to initiate the bankruptcy procedure of “Ukrburshtyn” and collect a fictitious debt. However, on June 26, 2024, the Supreme Court, after reviewing the evidence gathered by NABU and SAP, refused the criminals to collect the debt.

Currently, the indictment against three persons involved in this scheme is under consideration by the High Anti-Corruption Court.

In addition, since February 2023, the indictment against the three defendants in the scheme of seizing the funds of the state-owned enterprise “Ukrburshtyn” is being considered by the Higher Anti-Corruption Court
