NABU searched the home of driver Andriy Yermak

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine has searched the driver of the former head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak. This was reported by the media with reference to sources in law enforcement agencies.

During the investigative actions, detectives seized mobile phones and other electronic media. At the same time, suspicion has not been declared against Andriy Yermak himself at this time.

The investigation is in an active phase, and the NABU is aware of both the status of the person involved in the case and the public’s request for operational results. At the same time, the bureau does not intend to make procedural decisions under external pressure for the sake of a quick public effect.

It was previously reported that on the morning of November 28, NABU detectives, together with SAPO prosecutors, conducted searches in the government quarter at the residence of the head of the President’s Office Andriy Yermak. Journalists recorded the arrival of about ten employees of anti-corruption agencies on the territory. Yermak confirmed the fact of the searches and stated his readiness to cooperate with the investigation.

Later, Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the dismissal of Andriy Yermak from the post of head of the President’s Office. On January 2, the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate, Kirill Budanov, was appointed head of the OP. Yermak announced that after resigning amid a corruption scandal and investigative actions at his residence, he is going to the front.
