“Naftogaz” exceeded the gas production plan by 2%, providing additional volumes for the country
Oleksiy Chernyshov, head of the Naftogaz Group, emphasized that this amount of production will satisfy the needs of all segments of the population and socially vulnerable consumers.
In the first seven months of 2024, Naftogaz Group companies, in particular JSC Ukrgazvydobuvannya and PJSC Ukrnafta, produced 8.6 billion cubic meters of commercial gas. This is 7% more compared to the same period last year, reported Naftogaz press service.
The increase in the volume of production became possible due to the launch of new high-performance wells, the introduction of the latest technologies and the effective exploitation of existing resources. At the same time, the planned indicators of production were exceeded by 2%.
“The work continues not only in the central and western regions, but also in the eastern regions, despite the military challenges”, — said the head of Naftogaz Group, Oleksiy Chernyshov.
Gas production forecast for 2024
Naftogaz Group expects that in 2024, state-owned gas production companies will increase gas production to about 15 billion cubic meters.
Oleksiy Chernyshov emphasized that such a volume of production will satisfy the needs of all segments of the population and socially vulnerable consumers.
“We are actively increasing production. This year, we plan to reach or approach the total production by state companies of about 15 billion cubic meters. This will allow us to provide gas to all segments of the population, all households and social category consumers.”, he noted.
