NASA released an 8-hour video in which nothing happens (video)

At a time when even Christmas videos are created with the help of artificial intelligence, losing their warmth, NASA decided to surprise with a completely different approach. The agency presented a video where practically nothing happens. For eight hours in a row, only a burning fire can be seen on the screen. But not an ordinary home or romantic fireplace, but a cosmic one. About this informs ScienceAlert.

This unusual “fireplace” is footage of real emissions from the engines of the Artemis I rocket, which went to the moon in 2022. NASA decided to make this technological process more comfortable and transform it into something similar to a traditional fireplace fire.

Viewers are offered to use it as a modern alternative to the usual home fireplaces. If there is no firewood or the possibility to light a fire, it is enough to turn on this video on the TV or laptop screen to create an atmosphere of comfort.

“The crackling of sagebrush is a thing of the past. Enjoy the soothing glow of liquid hydrogen and oxygen”, – emphasize the authors.

NASA understands that their experiment may cause mixed reviews. Those who are used to traditional fireplaces may be skeptical of such an innovation. However, the agency urges to look at it differently.

“Tradition is beautiful. But progress is also beautiful. And why not think about the limits of humanity while looking at this space fireplace?” – note the authors of the project.
