NATO countries are ready to provide support for Ukraine in the event of a US refusal

At the Washington Summit, NATO countries confirmed their commitment to long-term support for Ukraine, announcing the allocation of at least 40 billion euros for security assistance in 2025. About this stated Chairman of the NATO Military Committee, Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone.

“At the Washington Summit, NATO committed itself to long-term support for Ukraine, with Alliance members pledging at least 40 billion euros in security assistance.

In December, the NATO Security Assistance and Support Program for Ukraine (NSATU) began its work. I will not speculate on potential changes in US policy, but NATO is working to ensure that aid is evenly distributed and sustainable.” said the admiral.

He emphasized that the creation of NSATU is evidence of the Alliance’s commitment to long-term support of Ukraine, regardless of political changes in member countries:

“Ukraine’s security is our security, and we remain steadfast in our support”.
