NATO countries have no intention of stationing their troops in Ukraine: Stoltenberg

During his visit to Italy, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg discussed a new package of military aid to Ukraine and noted that the Alliance’s troops will not be deployed on Ukrainian territory.
About this informs HANDLE.
“NATO has no intention of deploying forces in Ukraine. When I visited Ukraine last week, Ukrainians were not asking for NATO troops, they were asking for more support“, Stoltenberg said.
According to him, one of the reasons why the Russians managed to gain a foothold on the battlefield in recent months is that “we did not deliver on what was promised, that is, the United States, which took six months to agree on a new aid package.”
He also mentioned the promised million shells from Europe, which were delivered in much smaller quantities.
“Now the situation is changing“, NATO Secretary General added.
