NEURC approved an increase in water tariffs for businesses and other non-household consumers
The National Commission for State Regulation in the Energy and Utilities Sectors has adopted a decision on updating tariffs for centralized water supply and wastewater disposal for non-household consumers. The new prices will come into effect on January 1, 2026 and apply to a number of water utilities across the country.
In particular, for businesses and other non-household consumers, the cost of water supply excluding VAT will vary depending on the region. The lowest tariffs have been set for Cherkasy and Lviv, where a cubic meter of water will cost a little more than 11 hryvnias, while in Kyiv, Dnipro and Zhytomyr the price will be significantly higher. Separate tariffs have been set for other categories of consumers, except for household consumers, where the cost of water in most cities exceeds 25 hryvnias per cubic meter.
The highest price for centralized water supply for non-household consumers has been approved for the Pavlohrad Production Department of Water and Sewerage — 70.01 hryvnias per cubic meter. The maximum tariff for wastewater disposal has been set for the Nikopol Production Department of Water and Sewerage and is UAH 52.25 per cubic meter.
In general, the tariff revision covered 36 water utilities, as well as the joint-stock company “Ukrzaliznytsia”. At the same time, tariffs for water supply and wastewater services for the population remain at the current level. The government initiated the postponement of their increase, trying to maintain a balance between the financial needs of water supply and sewage enterprises and the capabilities of consumers.
