North Korea has successfully tested a missile with multiple warheads
North Korea has announced the successful test of a medium- and long-range ballistic missile capable of carrying multiple warheads, Reuters reports citing KCNA. The test took place on June 26, the day after the failed launch of a hypersonic missile.
This was reported by the agency Reuters citing KCNA.
According to KCNA, the missile managed to separate the warheads and accurately guide them to three targets. The purpose of the test was to ensure the ability to destroy individual targets with multiple warheads.
The launch came shortly after the signing of a “comprehensive strategic cooperation” agreement between North Korea and Russia during Vladimir Putin’s visit to Pyongyang.
According to the agency, tests with a medium- and long-range solid-fuel ballistic missile.
It came a day after South Korea’s military said North Korea had launched a hypersonic missile, then the launch failed, with the missile exploding in mid-air.

Also on June 20, 2024, the Office of the President of South Korea condemned the agreement reached by Russia and North Korea, at which time Chang said that Seoul would reciprocate the issue of providing weapons to Ukraine to help the country resist the Russian invasion.
On June 23, the South Korean national security adviser to the president, Jang Ho-Jin, said that the Republic will not be limited by anything in helping Ukraine if the Russian Federation provides North Korea with high-precision weapons.
