Norway to provide Ukraine with $7 billion in aid by the end of 2025

In 2025, Norway plans to provide aid to Ukraine in the amount of 7 billion dollars. About this stated Defense Minister of Ukraine Rustem Umyerov during his visit to Brussels.

Umerov held a meeting with Norwegian Defense Minister Tore Onshuus Sandvik, during which he emphasized that Norway remains among the leading countries in terms of support to Ukraine.

“Norway strengthens its leadership in supporting Ukraine — in 2025, the country will provide $7 billion in aid”. Umerov noted.

The discussion focused on the effective use of these resources. “We discussed how to use these resources most effectively. Among the priorities is the development of joint projects, in particular in the field of unmanned systems,” the Ukrainian minister noted.

The parties considered the prospects of purchasing Ukrainian drones, investing in the production of domestic developments, as well as the potential expansion of cooperation based on a model similar to the “Danish” model or in other formats. Umerov also presented to his Norwegian colleague a number of technological solutions already in use at the front, emphasizing their potential for scaling together with partners.

“Norway can play an important role in this process. Thank you to the government for its strategic vision, determination and consistent support of our state.” Umerov added.

We will remind, on June 4, within the framework of the 28th meeting in the “Ramstein” format, Norway announced the allocation of 700 million dollars to support Ukrainian drones, as well as another 50 million dollars to the NSATU Trust Fund, with an emphasis on the development of the domestic defense and industrial sector.
