Norway will allocate an additional 600 million dollars to support Ukraine
The Norwegian government has announced the allocation of an additional 600 million US dollars to support Ukraine. These funds will be used to strengthen the country’s air defense and provide other assistance.
About this reported Prime Minister of Norway, Jonas Har Støre.
“Most of these funds will be directed to air defense of Ukraine, which is its most urgent priority to protect people’s lives“, – said Støre.
The head of the Storting’s foreign affairs committee, Ine Eriksen Soreide, noted that there is a discussion about a possible increase in the five-year budget of the aid program for Ukraine by 75 billion Norwegian kroner (about 7.5 billion US dollars).
“There are fewer funds than originally planned for the following years, so the question of revising the program budget should be raised now“, she said.
