“Nova Poshta” plans to expand its work in the USA

Ukrainian logistics company “Nova Poshta” plans to scale its activities in the USA and create its own infrastructure for the delivery of Ukrainian goods. This direction is part of the company’s international strategy and is designed to facilitate the entry of Ukrainian entrepreneurs and private clients to the American market.

One of the key factors behind such a move was the new rate of customs duty on Ukrainian goods in the USA — 10%, while for most other countries it is 15% or more. This makes Ukrainian products more competitive and can affect the structure of exports.

“New mail” is already working with American partners to minimize the impact of the new rules on customers. In particular, the company has introduced the possibility to pay duty directly during the registration of the shipment. At the same time, the exact costs of customs processing are not disclosed, as it is a commercial secret.

In addition, “New mail” plans to invest about 10 million euros in the development of its network in Europe during 2025. The company focuses on development in the countries where it is already present, and at the same time plans further entry into new markets. Currently, “New Post Office” operates in 16 European countries, where 128 branches are opened and more than 87,000 service points operate.

By the end of 2025, the company plans to open another 135 branches. In addition, the possibility of entering the markets of Switzerland, Belgium, Portugal and Ireland is being considered.

Among the main areas of development are the expansion of our own network, the increase in the number of delivery and reception points, the development of address delivery and the acceleration of international logistics. In the Czech Republic, the launch of the first central sorting warehouse with a team of brokers is being completed, which will allow for the optimization of customs procedures. A similar center is planned to be opened in Germany.

Special attention is paid to Moldova, where about €2 million of investments will be directed – twice as much as last year. It was the Moldovan market that became the company’s first European direction to become profitable. In 2025, the achievement of operating profit (EBITDA) is also expected in Poland and the Czech Republic.

We remind you that on August 27, “New Post Office”  announced changes to shipping to the US due to the elimination of the preferential duty-free threshold of $800 for international shipments. Starting August 29, 2025, all packages to the US will be subject to customs duties and taxes regardless of their value. A reduced rate of 10% will apply to Ukrainian goods.
