The Nova Poshta company is planning to expand its presence in Europe – in the near future it is considering entering the markets of Switzerland, Belgium, Portugal and Ireland. By the end of the year, another 135 new branches should appear outside of Ukraine. About this reported CEO Nova Post Europe Oleksandr Lysovets.
“This year, we are studying the possibilities of entering the markets of Switzerland, Belgium, Portugal and Ireland. These are countries where we see potential, but we are still at the stage of market analysis and options for cooperation.” – noted Lysovets.
According to him, the final decision on the format of work in these countries has not yet been made.
“When entering the markets, we use different formats. In each case, we analyze which format will be more effective for a specific market. So, last year we resorted to an experiment and entered the market of two countries only with address delivery – Austria and the Netherlands. In fact, it was very useful, so we saw the regions where our customers are concentrated and recorded where the maximum activity takes place. Recently, for example, we already opened a branch in Utrecht, the Netherlands.” – said Lysovets.
In the near future, new branches of the company will open in The Hague, Rotterdam and Amsterdam. Lysovets also recalled that the company recently opened a third branch in Manchester, adding to the already existing two in London.
“In 2025, we plan to open a branch in Edinburgh. In this way, we will cover the main logistics hubs from south to north. We are opening a branch and simultaneously developing our own address delivery. We also plan to expand the network of branches in London and the suburbs during the year.”, he added.
We will remind that today “Nova Poshta” has opened 128 branches and more than 87 thousand service points in 16 European countries. In 2024, the company delivered 480 million parcels, which is 16% more than a year earlier, which is a record for the entire history of the company. A total of 4 million international shipments were made between different countries.
