Unknown substances are being sprayed in Kharkiv: the city council answered about the purpose

Recently, Kharkiv residents have been actively discussing cases of unknown substances being dispersed in the air, which many people report on social networks. This caused a significant response among the city’s residents, who are concerned about the possible consequences for their health and the environment. People expressed concern about possible air pollution and harmful effects on the human body, especially in an urban environment that was already subject to environmental challenges due to war and industrial factors.

In response to the concerns of the citizens, the Kharkiv City Council published official clarification. As noted in the press service of the city council, air spraying is connected with the processing of green spaces in the city. In Kharkiv, work is being carried out on the spraying of biological preparations based on fungi and bacteria. These drugs are part of the program to protect trees and bushes from pests and diseases, which is important for maintaining the ecological balance of the city.

In particular, experts from the enterprises “Kharkivlisozakhist” and “Kharkivzelenbud” processed plants on the territory of the Memory Park and along Leva Landau avenue on a total area of ​​13 hectares. Such events were also held in the Youth Park and the Strilka Square. These treatments are carried out in order to reduce the risk of the spread of diseases and pests that can damage trees and shrubs, and to ensure that urban green areas are properly maintained.

In addition, to prepare the trees for the winter period and increase their resilience, city services plan to apply additional fertilizers, which they say are safe for people and animals. Experts assure that all used biological preparations are ecologically safe and do not pose a threat to the health of Kharkiv residents.

Despite the official explanations of the city council, the issue of the safety of sprayed substances remains on the agenda among Kharkiv residents. Many still demand additional checks and information on the effects of these substances on human health, as well as transparent mechanisms for monitoring the implementation of such measures.
