On Easter in Ukraine, curfews will be changed for a number of regions
Easter curfew in 2025 will change in several regions of Ukraine. It was completely canceled only in Zakarpattia region. In other regions, they either maintain the current restrictions or slightly reduce the duration to allow believers to attend holiday services.
This year, Ukrainians are celebrating the fourth Easter in conditions of full-scale war. Due to the constant threat of attacks, security regulations remain relevant, and the decision to change the curfew is made by regional military administrations depending on the security situation. There is no general regulation for all.
The curfew remains unchanged:
- Kyiv — from 00:00 to 05:00;
- Kharkiv and the region — from 23:00 to 05:00 (city cemeteries will be closed on this day);
- Odesa — from 00:00 to 05:00, services will begin at 05:00;
- Lviv and the region — from 00:00 to 05:00;
- Dnipro and the region — from 00:00 to 05:00.
Reduced curfew:
- Kirovohrad region — from 00:00 to 04:00;
- Khmelnytskyi region — from 00:00 to 03:00.
In all other regions of Ukraine, the curfew for Easter 2025 remains unchanged. The Transcarpathian region with the regional center Uzhhorod remains the only region of Ukraine where curfew has not been introduced.
In some regions, additional security measures will be in place. Police will patrol the streets, check documents, and rescuers will be on duty near temples and public places. Local authorities urge citizens to refrain from attending mass events, including night services. In the event of an air alert, you should immediately go to the nearest shelter and not move around the city during the curfew.
