“Plastuns” brought to the capital of Ukraine, the Bethlehem flame of peace. This year, the handover ceremony took place under cover due to an air raid.
Despite the danger, scouts of the “Plast” organization sang and lit candles with fire brought from the birthplace of Jesus Christ, giving warmth and hope.
Next, the Flame of Bethlehem will be spread from Kyiv to 22 railway stations throughout Ukraine with the help of 12 night trains. In particular, the fire has already been met in Uzhgorod, where local plastuns have started the traditional distribution of the symbol of peace in state institutions, hospitals, churches and schools.
