Poland deported five citizens of Ukraine

Six Ukrainian citizens were detained in Poland, five of them have already been deported. This was reported in the Nadorzhan branch of the border service of the country.

Polish border guards reported that six Ukrainians were detained, five of them were returned to Ukraine, and another person was placed in a guarded center for foreigners pending a decision.

The reason for the detention and deportation was a violation of Polish legislation, which posed a “real threat to security and public order in Poland”. The men were forcibly returned via Zgorzelice, Gorzów Wielkopolskie, Poznań-Lawice and Wrocław-Strahowice. Five Ukrainians were escorted by border guards to the Polish-Ukrainian border, where they were handed over to local authorities.

Since the beginning of 2025, the Nadorzhan Branch of the Border Service detained and obliged to return to their countries of origin 300 foreigners, among whom the majority were citizens of Ukraine, as well as Georgia and Moldova.

Among the violations committed by foreigners on the territory of Poland were driving under the influence of alcohol, tax crimes, fraud and extortion, theft, destruction of property, stalking and psychological or physical violence. Violators also received multi-year bans on re-entry to Schengen countries.
