Poland has raised military aviation due to Russia’s massive attack on Ukraine
Poland has raised its military aviation due to Russia’s massive air attack on Ukraine, which on the morning of February 17 created a potential threat to the airspace of neighboring countries. The corresponding decision was made by the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces after the start of strikes by long-range aircraft of the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine.
The Polish military department explained that the reaction was immediate, as the situation required increased control of the sky near the borders.
“Due to the activities of long-range aircraft of the Russian Federation carrying out strikes on the territory of Ukraine, the use of military aircraft in Polish airspace has begun”, the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces said in a statement.
Together Along with combat aircraft, ground-based air defense and radar recognition systems were also put on high alert to ensure constant monitoring of the air situation. Such steps are aimed at preventing any risks to the country’s security, as the activity of Russian aviation near the borders creates additional threats.
“These actions are preventive in nature and are aimed at ensuring the security of airspace and its protection”, the command emphasized.
