As a result of a drone attack in the Volgograd region, the objects of the fuel and energy complex caught fire

On the night of October 9, the Volgograd region was attacked by unknown drones. As a result, damage and fires were recorded at the facilities of the fuel and energy complex. This is reported by the Russian mass media.

The drone attack took place around 01:00 Kyiv time. Later, the information was confirmed by the governor of the Volgograd region, Andriy Bocharov.

“Tonight, air defense forces of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation repel a massive attack by unmanned aerial vehicles on the territory of the Volgograd region”, – he declared.

According to Bocharov, as a result of the attack, the building of the boiler house was damaged and fires broke out at the “objects of the fuel and energy complex”.

“In the Kotovsky district, the boiler house building was partially damaged as a result of the fall of the UAV debris. There were also fires on the territory of the facilities of the fuel and energy complex, – added the governor.

He noted that the fire brigades are already working on the spot and are engaged in extinguishing the fire. According to local residents, the Korobkovsky gas processing plant is on fire in Kotovo after a drone attack.
