Poles began actively looking for housing abroad after the attack of Russian drones

Inhabitants of Poland became more actively interested in purchasing housing abroad after more than two dozen Russian drones violated the country’s airspace on the night of September 10. About this reports Gazeta Wyborcza with reference to the representative of the real estate market Slawomir Stavarchyk.

According to him, after this incident, the number of calls from customers tripled. He explained that many people had previously thought about buying a home in Spain, but now decided to act.

“For Poles, security is becoming more and more important. It is hard not to think about it: we are on NATO’s eastern border, and Spain is on the sidelines. Even the Second World War stopped in the Pyrenees. In addition, prices have already leveled off. In Krakow, a studio apartment costs 1 million zlotys, so for the inhabitants of Krakow, prices for Spanish apartments are not exorbitant – for the equivalent of such a studio, which is about 230,000 euros, they can buy something decent in Spain, explained Slawomir Stavarczyk.

The owner of GoESTE agency Michal Spodymek also confirmed the growing interest of Poles in foreign real estate. He noted that after the drone attack, he started receiving calls from residents of Rzeszów, Lublin and Warsaw. People reported how much money they had and wondered if they could buy something. At the same time, everyone tried to organize house viewings as soon as possible. According to Spodymek, if the war approaches the Polish borders, the men will have “not much time”.

“Women can leave even a week after the start of the war; men who would like to leave the country in such a situation should leave the day before the borders are closed, Spodymek said.

He specified that he offers his clients real estate in Bulgaria, Greece, Montenegro, Croatia, Spain, Turkey and Cape Verde.
