Prince Harry met with Ukrainian veterans in Kyiv

Prince Harry in Kyiv met with Ukrainian veterans at the National Museum of the History of Ukraine in the Second World War. This is reported by Reuters.

This is his second visit to Ukraine this year. In April, the youngest son of the King of Great Britain, Charles, visited the center for wounded servicemen in Lviv. This time, Harry came to Kyiv together with the team of his foundation “Games of the Invincibles” to present the charity’s plans to assist in the rehabilitation of the Ukrainian military.

The prince has 10 years of service in the British Army behind him, after which he created the Invictus Games Foundation, which organizes international sports competitions for soldiers wounded in combat.

“We cannot stop the war, but we can do everything we can to help the recovery process. We can continue to humanize the people involved in this war and what they go through. We must constantly remember this. I hope this trip will help people realize that, because it’s easy to become desensitized to what’s going on,” Prince Harry said.

He clarified that he received an invitation from the Ukrainian government, and also had permission for this trip from the government of Great Britain and his wife. This visit took place after the end of Harry’s four-day stay in Great Britain. He currently lives in California with his wife Megan and two children.
