Prosecutors will not receive salary increase in 2025: MPs approve amendment to the state budget
The Verkhovna Rada adopted amendment No. 155 to the state budget project for 2025, which cancels the planned 37% salary increase for prosecutors. About this reported People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak.
The amendment was supported by 242 deputies, which means that the norm on raising the salaries of prosecutors will be removed from the state budget for 2025. The wage fund for this category of employees will remain at the level of 2024 indicators.
Main indicators of the 2025 state budget
The Cabinet of Ministers approved the draft budget for 2025 back in September. According to the document, revenues are planned at the level of 2 trillion hryvnias, while expenditures – 3.6 trillion hryvnias.
Among the key priorities of the budget is ensuring the defense and security of the state, for which 2.2 trillion hryvnias will be allocated. Another important article will be social protection, for which 400 billion hryvnias are provided. Other important directions include financing of healthcare, education, regional support and business development.
The project also provides that the minimum wage in 2025 will remain at the level of 8 thousand hryvnias.
