Residents injured in two districts of Kharkiv after Russian shelling
On March 25, Russian troops carried out a series of strikes on residential areas of Kharkiv using Shahed drones. The Kholodnohirsky, Novobavarsky, and Osnovyansky districts of the city came under enemy fire.
As a result of the attacks, hits were recorded in close proximity to civilian objects, which caused fires and damage to infrastructure. Emergency services are working at the sites of the hits, eliminating the consequences of the shelling and providing assistance to affected residents.
In the Kholodnohirsky district, an enemy drone hit trees near a multi-story residential building. The blast wave and debris damaged nine cars, three of which burned to the ground. Windows were broken in many apartments. According to representatives of the regional state administration, one woman was hospitalized with injuries. A 17-year-old girl also received medical assistance, who was diagnosed with acute stress reaction after experiencing shelling.
“In the Kholodnohirsky district, the impact occurred in front of a multi-storey residential building. Cars caught fire: nine were damaged, three were completely destroyed. Windows in apartments were also broken,” — reported Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov.
The Novobavarsky district of Kharkiv also suffered significant damage. In the private sector, the gas network was damaged as a result of the hit and the roof of one of the residential buildings caught fire. In addition to private homes, nearby apartment buildings were also damaged. Emergency services specialists are working to localize the gas leak and restore communications. In total, four people were injured in the city during the day, including three women and one man.
“In the Kholodnohirsky district, a Russian drone hit trees near a high-rise building. “Medics hospitalized a woman who was injured in the explosion,” Oleg Synegubov reported. The night attack was accompanied by the massive use of UAVs, which Russia directed at densely populated neighborhoods. Enemy drone activity was also recorded in the Osnovyansky district. The city authorities are urging residents to be as careful as possible and follow safety rules during air raids, as the threat of repeated strikes remains high. The total cost of the damage to the city is currently being assessed.
