Retail trade in Ukraine grew by almost 8% in April

According to the results of April 2026, retail trade turnover in Ukraine increased by 7.8% year-on-year compared to the same month in 2025. This is evidenced by data of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.

In general, in January-April 2026, retail turnover increased by 8.7% compared to the corresponding period last year. Such dynamics indicate further adaptation of retail to current conditions and supports the trend towards the restoration of consumer demand.

In previous months, the indicators were higher. According to the results of January-March 2026, retail turnover increased by 11.2%, and in March the most noticeable annual growth was recorded – by 12.8%. In January-February, retail turnover increased by 10.5%.

Thus, despite the slowdown in April, retail trade in Ukraine has maintained positive dynamics since the beginning of 2026.
