Rheinmetall will supply Ukraine with “hundreds of thousands of projectiles”, including 100-kilometer ones
Armin Papperger, CEO of the German arms concern Rheinmetall, announced that in 2024 the company will deliver “hundreds of thousands of projectiles” to Ukraine.

Among the ammunition will also be prototypes of artillery shells with a firing range of up to 100 kilometers.
Papperger spoke at an event organized by the Association of Business Journalists at the Düsseldorf Industrial Club. He noted that Rheinmetall does not see the point of building a billion-euro plant that could produce 10,000 tanks, because there is practically no demand for them.
However, the situation with ammunition is different. According to Papperger, the concern focused, in particular, on the production of artillery shells.
“Artillery changes the rules of the game“, says the head of Rheinmetall, referring to the war in Ukraine. This year, the company will deliver “hundreds of thousands of projectiles” to Ukraine.
The supply will include prototype artillery shells with a range of 100 kilometers.
It is important to note that the 100-kilometer projectiles significantly exceed the range of the artillery systems currently used by Ukraine and Russia.
