Ruslan Kivan became the new owner and publisher of the Kyiv Post, continuing his father’s business

The KADORR Group corporation said that its chairman Ruslan Kivan will continue to support the Kyiv Post after the death of his father.

Adnan Kivan became the owner and publisher of this English-language publication, known as the ‘global voice of Ukraine’ – www.kyivpost.com.

It is a great honour and responsibility for me to carry on the work of my late father, Adnan Kiwan. He was a special man with a unique outlook and outstanding intellect. Like him, I am a strong supporter of democracy in Ukraine, especially on its path to victory. I want to make it clear that I am committed to the principles of integrity and freedom of speech, as they are the foundation of democracy.

Although Kadorr Group and the Kyiv Post have felt the impact of his loss, the principles by which he lived will remain with us forever: faith in God, honesty and high moral standards. This means that I will continue to support the independence of the Kyiv Post with all the resources necessary to ensure that it continues to fight for justice and fight corruption, and to provide the world with complete and accurate information about the situation in Ukraine and what is really happening here,’ said Ruslan Kiwan.

Kyiv Post CEO Luc Chenier and Editor-in-Chief Bohdan Nahailo said that together with Ruslan Kivan, they plan to strengthen the global reach, influence and reputation of the publication.

It has been an honour to work with the late Mr Adnan Kivan over the past three years to transform the Kyiv Post into a truly global media holding company, with 97% of our audience living in the West. Working with Ruslan Kivan was a big part of this success,’ said Luc Chenier.

Bohdan Nahailo added that thanks to the support of the Kivan family, Kyiv Post was able to resume its operations even in the difficult conditions of war, successfully rebrand and become an influential global publication.

We have a great team, we have successfully carved out our niches in social media, and some of the world’s best experts and influencers are eager to be on our pages. Ruslan Kivan’s constant trust and support motivates us to work hard to meet his high standards and expectations,’ said Nagailo.

The Kyiv Post is the oldest English-language newspaper in Ukraine, with an international readership of 97% and a high News Guard rating of 100%, which puts it alongside the world’s leading publications such as The New York Times and The Washington Post, giving Ukraine a credible voice on the world stage.
