Russia attacks Kharkiv for the second time in a day: head of children’s railway killed, number of wounded grows

On June 7, after 5:30 p.m., Russian aviation struck Kharkiv again, using KAB-type aerial bombs. According to the updated information Mayor Igor Terekhov, in the central part of the city – Shevchenkiv district – as of evening, at least one dead person and 18 wounded were recorded, and their number is increasing.

It was later confirmed that the head of the children’s railway, who held this position for only two weeks, had died. About this reported the chairman of the board of “Ukrzaliznytsia” Oleksandr Pertsovskyi.

“Another insidious attack on Kharkiv took the life of our employee, four railway workers were injured. One of them is currently on the operating table, the others are in a moderate condition, their lives are not in danger.” — said Pertsovsky.

According to the updated data of the regional prosecutor’s office, 12 people were injured as a result of a hit on the territory of the children’s railway in the Shevchenkiv district. They were diagnosed with injuries and an acute stress reaction. Another aerial bomb exploded over a residential building in the same area, injuring two men as a result.

Another projectile hit the private sector in the Kharkiv district of Kyiv. Four local residents were injured there, one woman is in a state of psycho-emotional shock.

Kharkiv remains one of the main objects of Russian attacks, particularly from the air. Daily combined strikes using drones, guided bombs and missiles strike infrastructure, residential areas and civilian areas.
