Russia attacks Mykolaiv with ballistic missiles: 1 killed, 11 injured

On the night of October 15, Russian troops launched several strikes with ballistic missiles in different regions of Ukraine. According to monitoring channels and Ukrainian information sources, explosions thundered in Mykolaiv.

Before the attacks, the Air Force of Ukraine warned of the appearance of high-speed missile targets in the direction of Mykolaiv, declaring an air alert in several regions of the country. However, how reported the mayor of Mykolaiv, Oleksandr Sienkevych, the first explosions rang out even before the alarm was officially announced.

At 02:31, the Air Force of Ukraine confirmed the threat of using ballistic weapons, especially in those areas where an air alert had already been declared. Meanwhile, “Suspilny” correspondents reported on repeated explosions in the city.

According to the reports of the monitoring channels, seven strikes were recorded in Mykolaiv, as a result of which a fire started in one of the residential buildings.

Later, Vitaliy Kim, the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration reported about the tragic consequences of the attack: one person died, another 11 people were injured, among them there were seriously injured.

“Currently, 11 victims are known, some of them are serious. Unfortunately, there is one death”, – he noted.

That same night, the Russian military shelled one of the residential areas of Kherson. According to information from the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office, the projectile hit a residential building, resulting in the death of two women.

Earlier, on October 9, the Russian army also attacked the Kherson region, inflicting artillery strikes on the geriatric center in the village of Stepanivka. As a result, the medical staff of the institution was injured, as reported by the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
