The first factory in Ukraine that will produce float (sheet) glass is planned to be built in the Kyiv region by 2028. About this informs press service of the Ministry of Economy.
Glass production is one of the key branches of the processing industry, which is of strategic importance for construction, industry and plays an important role in the country’s recovery process.
The Ministry of Economy emphasized that “NovaSklo” is a project of the Ukrainian investment company “EFI Group”, which involves the construction of the first large-scale and modern factory for the production of float glass in Ukraine. The total amount of investment in the project is 240 million euros, and the company plans to create about 300 jobs.
“The construction of the plant will contribute to the creation of new jobs and the attraction of additional investments in the industrial sector of Ukraine. The state supports such large-scale initiatives, offering a number of incentives that allow compensation of up to 30% of the total capital investment.” – stressed Deputy Minister of Economy Andrii Telyupa.
The company “NovaSklo” concluded a memorandum of cooperation with “UkraineInvest”, which provides for legal, consulting and analytical support of the investor from the government office. This will help the project to obtain a special status, which will make it possible to apply for tax and customs benefits, as well as for state reimbursement of part of the costs of creating infrastructure and connecting to networks.
