Russia may stop shelling Kharkiv on the condition that Russian military airfields are destroyed: NSDC

Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Counter-Disinformation Center at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, said that the Russian strikes on Kharkiv were aimed at causing panic and forcing residents to leave the city. He emphasized that such actions are aimed at undermining faith in the ability of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to protect the city.
Kovalenko urged Western countries to allow Ukraine to use long-range weapons to attack military airfields in the depths of Russian territory, from which shelling of Kharkiv is carried out. He emphasized that many of these airfields are located at a distance of more than 100 km from the border, and their destruction will help solve the problem of shelling.
The head of the CPD also refuted Russian justifications for shelling the civilian infrastructure of Kharkiv, noting that Ukraine does not store weapons under the cover of the civilian population. He emphasized that the entire territory of Ukraine, including Crimea, must be deoccupied, and negotiations with Russia on Putin’s terms are unacceptable.
Kovalenko noted that Russian society accepts the Kremlin’s statements about strikes on facilities in Kharkiv where Ukrainian weapons are allegedly stored. He emphasized that this situation will continue until Russian airfields and aircraft are destroyed.
