Russian military helicopter violated Polish airspace

On April 26, the Polish military reported that a Russian military helicopter of the Baltic Fleet had violated Polish airspace. About this informs Operational Command of the Armed Forces of Poland.
“On the evening of April 25, a Russian military helicopter of the Baltic Fleet violated the airspace over the territorial waters of Poland over the Baltic Sea”, – said in the communique.
The military department emphasized that Polish military radar systems and civilian systems of the Polish Air Navigation Agency tracked the flight of the Russian machine.
“Regular forces and means of air defense remained in constant combat readiness to ensure the security of Polish airspace”, – noted in the Operational Command.
The communiqué also emphasizes that the nature of the incident indicates that Russia is testing the readiness of Poland’s air defense systems.
We will remind you that on April 24, the Swedish Gripen fighters, which have been patrolling NATO airspace from the territory of Poland since April, were lifted into the air for the first time due to the appearance of a Russian military aircraft.
