Russian troops withdraw assault groups near the Antoniv bridge in the Kherson region

Russian troops are withdrawing assault groups to the area of the village of Dachi on the left bank of the Kherson region, trying to seize strategic positions near the Antonivsky bridge. This was announced by the spokesman of the “Southern Defense Forces” Vladyslav Voloshyn.

“Now the enemy is concentrating a certain number of assault groups in the settlement of Dachi, which is on the way from Oleshki to the Antonivsky bridge. The defense forces of Ukraine securely hold positions near the bridges, but the enemy wants to capture this part because it is the narrowest place in the Dnieper, – said Voloshyn.

According to him, this area is of special importance, because the distance between the shores here is only 700-800 meters. If the Ukrainian units are pushed back, the enemy will be able to deploy weapons and drones there, which will allow them to control the large channel of the Dnieper and strike the right bank.

“The enemy is trying with all his might to carry out assault actions here and take control of our positions, but he does not succeed”, – emphasized Voloshin.

He also noted that in the occupied part of the Kherson region, Russian troops are completing their rotation and transferring assault units to intensify attacks. The main goal of the invaders is to seize the island zone and the positions near the Antoniv bridge, which they try to storm almost every day.
