SAPO prosecutors will request the arrest of Galushchenko with the alternative of bail of UAH 425 million
Prosecutors of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office plan to apply to the court with a request to choose a preventive measure for Herman Galushchenko in the form of detention with the alternative of posting bail in the amount of 425 million hryvnias.
“For the person involved in the “Midas” case, the prosecutor will request detention or bail in the amount of 425 million hryvnias”, – emphasized Postoliuk.
According to her, the court session is scheduled for 12:30 on February 17. Earlier, on February 16, the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court partially satisfied the complaint of Galushchenko’s defense against his detention, leaving the former minister in custody until a preventive measure is determined.
The decision on bail or detention will be the next step in the case, which has caused significant public resonance and concerns Galushchenko’s activities during his tenure as Minister of Energy. The SAPO emphasizes the need for strict control over the defendants in such cases to ensure justice and prevent possible risks in the investigation process.
