SBU and National Police conduct searches in Uzhhorod RTCC and SP
In Uzhgorod, officers of the Security Service of Ukraine and the National Police are conducting investigative actions in the premises of the Uzhgorod District Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support.
According to available information, searches are taking place not only in the building of the institution, but also at the place of residence of the temporarily acting head of the Uzhgorod RTCC and SP, Lieutenant Colonel Mykola Myhaleyko. Investigative actions are also being conducted against several more persons who appear in the proceedings.
It is previously reported that two of the suspects could already have been served with suspicions. One of them is a former employee of the military enlistment office, whom the investigation considers as a possible intermediary in the alleged schemes of interaction between citizens and officials of the territorial recruiting center.
According to the investigation, this concerns possible abuses during the issuance of summonses. Information is being verified that, for a monetary reward, individuals could issue summonses with a postponed appearance date, which actually allowed them to postpone the summons to the CCC.
Currently, law enforcement officers are establishing the role of each of the defendants and checking the possible involvement of other persons, in particular the management of the institution. The qualification of possible offenses and the final conclusions of the investigation have not yet been disclosed.
