SpaceX launches another batch of spy satellites into space for US intelligence

The American company SpaceX, owned by Elon Musk, launched another satellite for the US National Reconnaissance Office (NRO). About this informs Space.com.

“A Falcon 9 rocket lifted off from Vandenberg Space Force Base tonight at 10:53 p.m. ET (7:53 p.m. California local time; 03:53 a.m. GMT on January 10) as part of mission NROL-153 for the U.S. National Reconnaissance Office (NRO )”, – says the message.

The launch was SpaceX’s seventh NRO mission to launch reconnaissance satellites into orbit. The previous six missions, which also used Falcon 9 rockets, took place from Vandenberg Space Center in California between May and December 2024.

We will remind that on January 6, SpaceX launched another 24 Starlink Internet satellites into space. The satellites were launched into low Earth orbit approximately 65 minutes after launch. There are currently more than 6,850 active Starlink satellites in orbit.
