Telegram launches Star Messages paid messaging feature
Messenger Telegram has unveiled a major update that allows content creators and public figures to charge for incoming messages from users who are not on their contact list. The new Star Messages feature gives you the opportunity to fully control your mailbox and monetize your popularity at the same time. About this informs the press service of the company.
Premium account holders can now filter unwanted messages by setting a fee in the domestic currency of “Stars” for those who want to contact them. The feature is available not only for private chats, but also for group discussions and channel discussions, allowing community owners to monetize their audience and earn from meaningful conversations.
Users can flexibly customize Star Messages – allowing messages to be sent to specific contacts or members of specific groups for free. There is also an option to instantly return stars with one click if you need to make an exception after receiving a message.
In addition to paid messages, the update also introduced a page with detailed information about new interlocutors, which will help identify fraudsters and avoid communicating with fake accounts.
