Thanks to the SBU and the OGP, Ukraine nationalised 6 companies controlled by a Russian oligarch

Based on the materials of the Security Service of Ukraine and the Office of the General Prosecutor, the High Anti-Corruption Court satisfied claim of the Ministry of Justice on the transfer to the income of Ukraine of assets belonging to sanctioned Russian oligarchs, including Miron Horilovskyi.
The court’s decision concerns six Ukrainian companies that are part of the Polyplastic Group industrial conglomerate, the shares of which were controlled by the Russian oligarch through proxy persons. This group is one of the largest producers of polymer pipes and composite materials in Europe, and its owners are closely connected to Russian oligarchs.
The investigation established that companies controlled by Gorilovsky supplied their products to military bases and factories in Russia, as well as to occupation authorities in the annexed Crimea. In addition, these enterprises participated in the production of components for small arms of the Russian army.
Financing the Russian war against Ukraine through these companies, Horilovsky used Ukrainian “branches”, owning them through third parties and offshore companies.
The court decided to transfer the corporate rights of these enterprises to the ownership of the state, which will ensure their further work for the benefit of Ukraine. Meanwhile, an investigation is underway, which aims to reveal all aspects of the criminal activity of the beneficiaries of the Russian corporation.
The procedure of nationalization of assets was carried out under the procedural guidance of the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.
