Series of explosions in Rivne, power outage in part of the city due to massive attack
On the afternoon of April 13, a series of explosions were heard in Rivne during an air raid. The threat arose due to the movement of groups of strike drones in the direction of the regional center. Immediately after the explosions, a power outage was recorded in part of the city. Currently, specialized services are establishing the causes and extent of damage to the energy infrastructure.
The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine warned in advance about the approach of drones to the city. According to the military command, Russia is using drones to try to overload the air defense system.
In addition to attacks by drones, the threat of the use of air- and sea-based cruise missiles, as well as ballistic weapons, remains.
The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine previously reported the start of a large-scale combined air attack by Russia.
According to intelligence data, the main targets for strikes were energy facilities, enterprises of the defense-industrial complex and administrative buildings of state authorities. The situation in the region remains tense, and new air targets are being tracked.
Ensuring the stable functioning of critical infrastructure and the safety of the civilian population is a priority task for local authorities and military command. City residents are urged not to ignore air raid signals and to remain in shelters until the threat is officially over.
