The ambassador of the Russian Federation to the USA announced Putin’s response to the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Kurshchyna

Russian Ambassador to the USA Anatoly Antonov said that the leadership of the Russian Federation has already made a decision regarding the response to the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk region. This statement was made public by the pro-Kremlin agency “TASS”, stressing that the Kremlin is preparing for serious measures in response to Ukrainian actions on Russian territory. Antonov said that Russian President Vladimir Putin has made a decision that, in his opinion, will lead to severe punishment for all those involved in the events in the Kursk region.

“I sincerely tell you that the president has made a decision. I am firmly convinced that everyone will be severely punished for what happened in the Kursk region.”, – says the diplomat.

He expressed confidence that all whom the Kremlin considers to be “Nazis” who invaded the region will be destroyed. Such rhetoric is typical of official statements by Russia, which often tries to justify its actions with accusations of Nazism directed against Ukraine.

This statement appeared against the background of heightened tensions between Ukraine and Russia, when Ukrainian troops conducted an operation in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, commenting on these actions, said that the operation is absolutely fair and symbolizes the return of war to the place from where it was brought to Ukrainian soil.

The Russian leadership, in turn, not only accused Ukraine of aggression, but also announced the preparation of appropriate actions. Antonov stressed that the Kremlin’s response will be tough and decisive, and all those who participated in the Ukrainian operation will be punished.

The aggravation of the situation is also emphasized by the statement of Russian President Vladimir Putin, who accused Ukrainian forces of attempting to strike the Kursk nuclear power plant on the night of August 22. This charge is serious, as any threat to the nuclear infrastructure could have catastrophic consequences not only for the region, but also for the entire world.
