The Armed Forces advanced 3–7 km deep into the defense of the Russian Federation in Donetsk region
The operation of the Defense Forces of Ukraine in the Dobropil direction in the Donetsk region continues. Ukrainian troops were able to advance deep into the defense of Russian troops at a distance of three to seven kilometers. This was reported by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskiy.
He noted that the Ukrainian army regained control over seven settlements, and another nine were cleared of subversive and intelligence groups. Within the scope of the operation, it was possible to free 160 square kilometers of territory and additionally clear another 171 square kilometers from the DRG.
“The losses of the Russian army during this period amount to 2,456 soldiers, of which 1,322 are irreversible. It was also possible to replenish the “exchange fund” for the return of Ukrainian fighters from captivity, – reported the commander-in-chief.
He clarified that the occupiers lost 817 units of weapons and equipment, including 12 tanks, 37 armored vehicles, 162 artillery systems, 5 rocket launchers, 382 cars, 58 motorcycles, one unit of special equipment and 160 drones.
We would like to remind you that on September 18, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with military personnel participating in the Dobropil counteroffensive. In his address, the president also announced that one of the counter-offensive operations is ongoing in the Donetsk direction, in the Pokrovsk and Dobropillia districts.
