The average salary of civil servants exceeded the mark of 50 thousand hryvnias
The Ministry of Finance of Ukraine has updated data on the remuneration of employees of state bodies. According to new data, the average salary of civil servants in May 2024 reached 50.9 thousand hryvnias, which is 32% more than in January of this year.

Salary leaders
Employees of the National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Utilities (NKREKP) receive the highest salaries – 89.7 thousand hryvnias. In second place is the Antimonopoly Committee (88.3 thousand hryvnias), and in third place is the Secretariat of the National Tripartite Socio-Economic Council (72.4 thousand hryvnias).
New payment system
“Since the beginning of the year, a new wage system based on the grade system of job classification has been in effect in Ukraine. This system is aimed at increasing, predictability and transparency of the salaries of employees of state bodies. For its part, the Ministry of Finance regularly publishes data on the actual accrued salaries of employees of state bodies, local state administrations and judicial authorities. Thus, based on the data received from the managers of budget funds for April and May 2024, the analytical tool (“dashboard”) regarding wages and the number of employees has been updated“, the Ministry of Finance said in a statement.
Comparison with the average salary in the country
According to the State Statistics Service, the average monthly salary of Ukrainians in 2023 was 17,442 hryvnias, and in the first quarter of 2024 – 18,903 hryvnias.
