The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine additionally allocated 36.6 billion hryvnias for the needs of the Ministry of Defense. This was reported by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.
According to him, this is a financial resource that will be aimed at strengthening the country’s defense capabilities. The funds will go to cover the most priority needs: the implementation of programs for the development of the defense-industrial complex, the introduction of new technologies, the expansion of the production capacities of the defense industry, as well as the purchase of weapons and military equipment. In addition, another 500 million hryvnias are provided for the support of Ukrainian arms manufacturers.
“We are working comprehensively and systematically to strengthen Ukraine with weapons of domestic production, which will cause irreparable losses to the enemy”, – stressed the head of the Ministry of Defense.
We would like to remind you that on October 6, the government approved the draft law on amendments to the State Budget for 2025. The document provides for an increase in expenditures of the general fund of the state budget by 317 billion hryvnias, most of which will be directed to financing the Ministry of Defense.
The funds will be used for the payment of salaries to military personnel and other mandatory personnel payments, the purchase, modernization and repair of weapons, military equipment and equipment, as well as for the development of the defense-industrial complex and the introduction of new technologies in the field of defense.
