The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine announced the expansion of the “Own Business” grant program, which will begin operating in 2026. The changes provide for an increase in grant amounts, new opportunities for youth, and expanded support for families of veterans and fallen defenders. This was announced by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.

According to her, starting in 2026, the size of grants will be increased:

  • up to 100 thousand UAH – without the obligation to create jobs;
  • up to 200 thousand UAH – for the creation of one job;
  • up to 350 thousand UAH – for the creation of two jobs.

New conditions are also being introduced for certain categories. Young people aged 18–25 will be able to receive up to 200 thousand UAH to start a business. Entrepreneurs who have successfully implemented the previous grant will have the opportunity to receive an additional microgrant. Support for veterans and their families is expanding – grants will also be available to parents and adult children. Families of fallen defenders will be able to receive up to 1 million UAH provided that new jobs are created.

Yulia Svyrydenko explained that the “Own Business” program is part of the state policy of supporting Ukrainian manufacturers within the framework of the “Made in Ukraine” initiative. During its operation, more than 32 thousand Ukrainians have opened their own business, creating 46 thousand jobs and attracting more than 5 billion UAH to the national economy.

“We want as many people as possible to learn about such opportunities. So that veterans and their families can apply for grants and bring their ideas to life – in communities throughout Ukraine, the Prime Minister emphasized.

You can apply and get details of the program through the “Diya” portal or at local employment centers.
