On the night of Saturday, June 22, Ukraine again became the scene of an attack by the Russian Federation, which lasted more than five hours. The attack began around 23:30 on June 21 and affected several regions of the country. The Russians used kamikaze drones, cruise missiles and ballistic missiles to attack key energy facilities.
Lutsk, some objects in Ivano-Frankivsk region, as well as objects in Lviv region, Kyiv region, Vinnytsia region and Zaporizhzhia were under attack. In total, the entire attack lasted about 5.5 hours.
“Ukrenergo” stated that the target of the strikes was the energy system. Hits were recorded in Zaporizhzhia and Lviv region. Two energy workers were injured in Zaporizhzhia, reports “Ukrenergo”. They were taken to the hospital. In the Ministry of Energy confirmed this information.
Residential areas experienced large-scale explosions, especially in Lutsk, Ivano-Frankivsk and other settlements, where residents reported significant damage to buildings and infrastructure.
As a result of the explosions in Ivano-Frankivsk, civilian infrastructure was damaged, including the houses of local residents and the premises of a kindergarten. As a result of the incident, several buildings of the building were destroyed.
Maksym Kozytskyi, head of the Lviv OVA, as well stated that a fire broke out in the Lviv region after an attack on a critical infrastructure object, and the emergency services and other rescue services were called in to extinguish it. The incident also caused total or partial loss of power in some areas.
“The Russians launched a missile attack on a critical energy infrastructure facility in the Lviv region. A fire broke out. Firefighters are already working on the spot. As of this hour, there was no information about the victims. The fire was extinguished. 67 firefighters and 12 units of special equipment were involved. Within their area of responsibility, soldiers of the “Zahid” anti-aircraft missile defense system shot down 7 out of 10 enemy cruise missiles. Some of them are also over Lviv Oblast“, Kozytskyi wrote.
The Air Force of Ukraine announced an alarm call at 05:06 in the morning.
Also at night during a missile attack on Ukraine by Russia, Poland picked up military planes into the air.

“We draw attention to the fact that in the southeastern part of the country there is a possibility of an increase in the level of noise associated with the start of flights of Polish and allied aircraft in our airspaceand”, says the message.
