At the initiative of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted a resolution approving a new version of the Regulation on the social project “Active Parks – Locations of Healthy Ukraine”.
“The new regulation on “Active Parks” will contribute to increasing the number of people who engage in physical activity and lead a healthy lifestyle. It will also strengthen the popularization of adaptive sports as a tool for recovery and physical activity for everyone, as well as the development of a barrier-free space in Ukraine, the government explained.
The purpose of the updated Regulation is to improve approaches to the organization and conduct of physical culture and health activities at the all-Ukrainian and local levels within the project, as well as to popularize and develop health physical activity among all categories of citizens. Particular attention is paid to the involvement of people with disabilities, children with disabilities, internally displaced persons, war veterans and their family members. The project is aimed at creating conditions for reducing the incidence rate and improving the quality and duration of active life of Ukrainians.
Among the main changes are the renewal of approaches to organizing physical culture and health-improving events at the national and local levels with a clear delineation of their functions, conducting adaptive sports classes, supporting the physical and psychological rehabilitation of participants, as well as the development of a modern information and communication system of the project.
