The Cabinet of Ministers approved an action plan for the introduction of the European Professional Card

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved an action plan to prepare for the implementation of the European Professional Card — a digital tool that will significantly facilitate the recognition of professional qualifications of Ukrainian citizens in the countries of the European Union. About this reported press service of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.

The initiative is part of a comprehensive strategy for the integration of Ukrainian specialists into the EU labor market. It is based on the development of a draft law on regulated professions that have clearly defined requirements for education and experience for carrying out professional activities. Deputy Minister of Economy Tetyana Berezhna emphasized that the new tool aims to expand opportunities for employment of Ukrainians abroad.

“The European professional card will simplify the process of recognition of Ukrainian diplomas and certificates in the EU, which is especially important for those who plan to work in Europe”, – she noted.

In the countries of the European Union, there are several hundred regulated professions — from doctors and architects to veterinarians, where the specialist’s compliance with the standards is controlled at the legislative level. The introduction of a digital card will enable Ukrainian specialists to go through qualification recognition procedures more quickly and get a job in the EU more easily.

The European professional card is an electronic certificate that certifies a person’s professional suitability in accordance with the standards of the European Union. It allows you to work both temporarily and permanently in the countries of the EU and the European Economic Area. The document minimizes bureaucratic obstacles and speeds up the process of entering the European labor market.

The government’s plan also provides for the adaptation of Ukrainian legislation to EU requirements, the creation of a technical infrastructure for issuing cards, as well as the identification of authorized bodies that will be responsible for confirming qualifications.

The introduction of the European professional card will be an important stage in the process of integration of the Ukrainian economy and labor market with the European space, opening up more opportunities for Ukrainian specialists in the field of international career and development.
