The Cabinet of Ministers decided to start the heating season in Ukraine from November 1
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted a resolution according to which the heating season in the country starts on November 1 this year and will last until March 31, 2026. The document is posted on the Government portal.
“The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine resolves to add to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Resolution dated July 19, 2022 No. 812 “On approval of the Regulation on the imposition of special duties on natural gas market entities to ensure public interests in the process of functioning of the natural gas market regarding the specifics of natural gas supply to thermal energy producers and budget institutions”, – the message says.
Let us remind you that at the beginning of September, a member of the supervisory board of “Ukrenergo” Yuriy Boyko noted that the successful completion of the heating season depends on two factors – the availability of gas and coal reserves, as well as stable extraction of internal resources in the absence of shelling. According to him, a sufficient amount of energy carriers has been accumulated.
“When Russia began massively attacking our gas production and gas processing structures, we were faced with the need to adjust imports to replace domestic resources. Today, gas reserves are not bad, they are more than enough for a traditional winter. But in the conditions of the war, there remains a risk that we will have to purchase an additional resource, Boyko said.
