During the year, the state compensated farmers for UAH 1 billion for the purchase of domestic agricultural machinery
During the year, the state reimbursed farmers 1 billion hryvnias for the purchase of domestic agricultural machinery. About this informs Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.
A year ago, the government renewed the compensation program for 25% of the cost of purchasing Ukrainian agricultural machinery. As of today, 152 machine-building enterprises participate in the program, offering 13,200 units of machinery and equipment subject to compensation.
During the year of operation of the program, 131 new enterprises joined it, and the list of equipment was replenished with more than 12.7 thousand new names. The largest increase was observed in 2024 — immediately after the launch of the program. At that time, 117 companies participated, offering more than 11,000 models of equipment.
“The development of Ukrainian agricultural engineering is our strategic goal within the framework of the Made in Ukraine policy.” The compensation program of 25% of the cost of agricultural machinery creates a stable demand for the products of Ukrainian enterprises and stimulates investment in production. The growth of the list to 152 manufacturers and more than 13,000 models shows that the business sees the effectiveness of the program and actively participates. This is an effective mechanism for supporting the national industry, creating new jobs and strengthening the competitiveness of our manufacturers.” – said the First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine – Minister of Economy Yuliya Svyridenko.
In 2025, the list was supplemented by 14 more manufacturers and more than 1.5 thousand new items. The government has already pledged funding for the further implementation of the program until the end of this year.
The Ministry of Economy noted that 6,100 units of equipment were sold during the year, which brought more than 4 billion hryvnias in sales (excluding VAT) for Ukrainian manufacturers. The state compensated 989 million hryvnias to farmers who took advantage of the program. The increase in demand enabled Ukrainian enterprises to create more than a thousand new jobs. In addition, the program contributed to a 10% decrease in the volume of imports of agricultural machinery.
