The Cabinet of Ministers determined the conditions for the transfer of institutions for resettlement of displaced persons in the frontline regions

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine established preferential conditions for the transfer of state and communal institutions for the resettlement of internally displaced persons in the frontline regions. This was reported by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Yulia Svyrydenko.

“According to the results of the trip to the front-line communities of Donetsk region and Dnipropetrovsk region, the Cabinet of Ministers made a decision to support the front-line territories. Preferential conditions for the transfer of state and communal institutions for the resettlement of IDPs in the front-line regions were determined,” Svyridenko said following the results of the government meeting on Thursday.

According to her, this will make it possible to quickly equip new places for temporary residence of displaced persons. The lease conditions provide: for state and communal enterprises — 1 hryvnia per 1 square meter. m; for public and charitable organizations – 3% of the cost.

As reported in the Ministry of Social Policy, Family and Unity of Ukraine, the state has created legal and financial conditions for the prompt involvement of state and communal property for temporary residence immigrants.

In particular, the government resolution provides for a clear list of documents submitted by state and communal enterprises, public associations and charitable organizations to obtain the right to lease without holding an auction; preferential rent for state and communal property for enterprises that provide housing for displaced persons; discount rates for public and charitable organizations; as well as the expansion of the categories of the target purpose of immovable property to ensure the temporary residence of displaced persons.

“Such a decision in the context of crisis response will allow to quickly create temporary housing funds for displaced persons,” the department noted.
