Zelensky responded to the petition regarding the booking of drivers engaged in international passenger and cargo transportation: details

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi answered to a petition that called for the inclusion of drivers engaged in international passenger and freight transportation among the categories of persons eligible for reservation from conscription for military service during mobilization. The head of state addressed this appeal to Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
He mentions that on May 18, 2024, Law No. 3633-IX, which amends some legislative acts of Ukraine regarding the introduction of military service, mobilization, and military registration, entered into force. This law comprehensively revised the provisions regarding the categories of persons who may be exempted from conscription during mobilization, and also established a new procedure for booking conscripts.
In his appeal to the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal, the President expressed a request to consider the issues raised in the electronic petition and to ensure due attention to his decision. He emphasized the importance of this step in the context of ensuring national security and effective organization of mobilization training and mobilization in Ukraine.
It will be recalled that earlier, a member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence, Fedir Venislavsky, emphasized the need for important consideration of issues related to the reservation of employees of enterprises engaged in international transportation. He emphasized that this is important in the context of the large volume of such activities, which include tens of thousands of companies in the country.
