The Cabinet of Ministers has additionally allocated UAH 1.5 billion for the reconstruction of the Kyiv region

An additional 1.5 billion hryvnias have been allocated for the reconstruction of Kyiv region. The relevant decision, along with a number of others, was adopted by the Cabinet of Ministers at a meeting on March 31. About this reported Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.

According to the latest estimates of the World Bank, the total amount of needs for the reconstruction of Kyiv region is about 37.6 billion dollars. At the same time, Shmyhal emphasized that Ukraine began reconstruction immediately after the liberation of the region from occupation.

“In order to complete already started reconstruction projects in the Kyiv region, we accept a protocol mandate to allocate an additional 1.5 billion UAH from the Fund for the Liquidation of the Consequences of Armed Aggression”, – said the head of the government.

In addition, a decision was made to improve the mechanism for obtaining compensation for destroyed private housing for further restoration. The Kyiv Regional Military Administration will receive almost UAH 36 million for the completion of the reconstruction of the “Champion” stadium in Irpen, as well as additional funds for the completion of the construction of eight apartment buildings.

Also, UAH 5.2 billion has been earmarked for the Reconstruction Agency and regional administrations for the restoration and maintenance of roads in frontline and near-frontline regions, which are actively used by the Security and Defense Forces, Shmyhal added.
